Use this guide to set up Portfobit in Grok Bot and continue through to your first connected exchange account. Paste this into Grok Bot:

1. Install the plugin, or add Remote MCP

Ask Grok Bot to install the Portfobit plugin. The repository includes Cursor-compatible plugin metadata, shared Skills and the Remote MCP connection. Use Grok Bot’s supported plugin installer and complete any installation confirmation it requests. If plugin installation is unavailable, add a custom MCP server using Remote HTTPS: Keep an existing working connection rather than adding a duplicate. This OAuth setup does not require creating a Portfobit Developer API Key or adding a static Authorization header.

2. Sign in and authorize

  1. Open Portfobit and sign in, or create your account.
  2. In Grok Bot, connect the plugin’s Portfobit MCP server or the custom server added above.
  3. Follow browser OAuth. On Portfobit’s authorization page, let the user choose the scopes and approve access.
  4. Return to Grok Bot and call get_current_user_context or list_account_connectors to confirm the connection.
If the user wants the agent to create an exchange account connection, it needs account:write. Otherwise, the user can add the account on the website. Do not silently expand an existing authorization.

3. Connect the first exchange account

Continue with Connect Your First Account. Ask which exchange and account name the user wants, discover its connector, explain how to create its exchange API key, and help finish the connection using the user’s chosen credential-entry method. Finish by checking the first sync and showing the connected account’s available balances or positions. Installing the plugin and completing OAuth alone do not connect an exchange account.
