# Live Demo

> Try Portfobit with real exchange accounts and real funds, connected through read-only API keys. No personal exchange API keys required.

Connect your AI agent to Portfobit's shared demo account and explore real crypto
portfolio data. The exchange accounts are already connected and hold real funds,
so you can analyze actual balances, asset exposure, and any open positions.
You do not need to register a Portfobit account or provide your own exchange API keys.

## Demo login

Open [portfobit.com](https://portfobit.com) and sign in with these public demo credentials:

| Field | Value |
| - | - |
| Email | `engineering@portfobit.com` |
| Password | `LBYqigByEJZ9YHzrc3C3` |

These credentials are intentionally shared for this demo. Enter them in the
Portfobit browser sign-in form when asked to sign in, including during MCP OAuth
authorization.

> [!NOTE]
>
> The connected exchange API keys have **read-only permissions**. You can query and
> analyze real account data; those keys cannot place, cancel, or amend orders, or
> transfer funds. The demo login above is a Portfobit login, not an exchange login
> or an exchange API key.
>
> We're happy to open this demo to everyone, even though the connected exchange
> accounts hold real funds, because their exchange API keys grant read access only,
> with no trading or transfer permissions. This demonstrates the security benefit
> of read-only access. You can use the same [read-only setup](https://docs.portfobit.com/guides/security.md) when
> connecting your own exchange accounts.

## Try it with your AI agent

**1. Connect your AI agent**

Follow the [Plugin or MCP Server Setup](https://docs.portfobit.com/guides/mcp-server-setup.md) guide for your
preferred client. It covers ChatGPT & Codex, Claude, Cursor, OpenClaw, Hermes,
and other compatible MCP clients.

Use the browser-based OAuth path. You do not need to create a Developer API key
or add an exchange connection for this demo.

**2. Authorize the demo account**

When your client opens the Portfobit authorization page, sign in with the demo
credentials above. If you are already signed in to your own Portfobit account,
sign out before starting the demo authorization so you connect the demo account.

Keep the default permission selection so you can explore accounts, portfolios,
orders, activity history, and market data. No additional trading or
internal-transfer permissions are needed for this demo. Approve the
authorization and return to your AI client.

**3. Ask about the real portfolio**

Copy one of the prompts below into your AI conversation. The exchange accounts
are already connected; start by reading their existing data.

### Check balances

```text theme={null}
Use Portfobit to list the connected accounts and summarize their balances and total portfolio value. Include the latest synchronization time and flag any accounts whose data is unavailable or stale.
```

### Explore asset exposure

```text theme={null}
Use Portfobit to show the largest asset exposures across the connected accounts. Compare BTC, ETH, and stablecoin holdings where available, and explain any concentration in the portfolio.
```

### Analyze open positions

```text theme={null}
Use Portfobit to list any open positions and summarize their direction, size, unrealized P&L, and available risk indicators. If there are no open positions, say so. Use read-only queries and include the data timestamps.
```

## What to expect

* **Real accounts and funds.** You are querying actual exchange account data
  through Portfobit and MCP.
* **Changing data.** Balances, prices, and positions can change. Responses reflect
  the latest available synchronized data; ask for timestamps when comparing results.
  See [Sync and Data Freshness](https://docs.portfobit.com/guides/sync-and-data-freshness.md).
* **A shared experience.** Everyone uses the same demo account. Use it to explore
  the existing connections and data; use your own Portfobit account for personal
  exchange connections and settings.
* **Read-only exchange access.** This demo demonstrates portfolio queries and
  analysis. Portfobit's protected trading features require separately enabled
  permissions, explicit user confirmation, and a trading OTP. See
  [Security](https://docs.portfobit.com/guides/security.md) for the full requirements.

## Connect your own exchange account

Sign out of the demo account, then sign in to or create your own Portfobit account.
Authorize your AI client with that account and follow
[Connect Your First Account](https://docs.portfobit.com/guides/connect-your-first-account.md).
For more questions to ask your agent, see
[Use Portfobit with AI](https://docs.portfobit.com/guides/use-portfobit-with-ai.md).
